An independent reference for visa and passport photo requirements — one page per country and document, each with its official source.

What this site is

visaphoto.org collects the photo requirements that governments publish for passports, visas and travel permits, and states them in one fixed order so that any two countries can be compared line by line. Every measurable value comes from the issuing authority’s own document.

Why the site exists

Photo requirements are published in dozens of formats: a PDF annex, a paragraph on an application form, a diagram with no numbers. Applicants end up guessing, and a guess costs an appointment. A single, dated, sourced page per country removes the guessing.

Who writes it

visaphoto.org does not carry personal bylines. Every value on a country page is attributed to the official document it was taken from — linked and numbered in the Sources section of that page.

What is not here yet

Only the country pages an editor has verified against the issuing authority are published. Everything else is listed as coming soon rather than filled with an approximation. A photo checker that runs in your browser is in development; nothing you upload to it will leave your device.
